Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 27, 2026
Goovi AI (https://gooviai.com) is operated by Buhe House LLC ("Goovi AI", "we", "us"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Goovi AI mobile app and website, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using Goovi AI you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address and, if you provide one, a display name and a phone number. A phone number is optional and is used only for account verification and support.
Content you share with Goovi AI. When you share a TikTok, Instagram or other social post into Goovi AI, we receive the post link and its publicly available content — such as the caption, on-screen text, thumbnail and any place, date or contact details it contains. We store the extracted result (events, places to visit, things to do) in your account so you can access your saved places across sessions.
Basic technical data. Like any online service, our servers automatically receive limited technical information such as IP address, device type and app version when you use Goovi AI. We use it to operate the service, prevent abuse and diagnose errors.
What we do not collect today. Goovi AI does not currently use device location, push notifications, in-app purchases, advertising identifiers or third-party analytics SDKs. If we add any of these, we will update this policy before they take effect.
2. How we use your information
- To provide the core service: extracting events, places and activities from posts you share and saving them to your account.
- To authenticate you and secure your account.
- To send you essential service emails such as sign-in, verification and account notices.
- To respond to your support requests.
- To detect and prevent abuse, fraud and technical errors.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. AI and automated processing
Goovi AI uses artificial intelligence in our backend to read the content of the posts you share and extract structured details such as place names, addresses, dates and opening hours. This processing runs on our servers and through third-party AI model providers acting on our behalf. Only the content of posts you explicitly share, plus the minimum context needed for extraction, is sent to these providers — we do not send your email, display name or phone number. We instruct our providers not to use your content to train their models. Extraction is automated and may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete — always verify important details such as event dates, prices and addresses before relying on them.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We share information only with:
- Service providers who process data on our behalf: cloud hosting and database providers, AI extraction providers, and email delivery providers.
- Legal and safety recipients where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and property of Goovi AI, our users or the public.
- A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
5. Third-party platforms
Goovi AI is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by TikTok, Instagram or Meta. When you open a link from a saved place, you leave Goovi AI and the destination's own privacy policy applies. We only access publicly available content from links you choose to share with us, and we do not ask for or store your social media passwords.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
Our website and app use cookies and local storage only for essential purposes, such as keeping you signed in and remembering basic preferences. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking technologies. You can clear or refuse cookies in your browser, though some features may stop working. Because there is no common standard for it, we do not respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals.
7. Sensitive information
Sensitive information includes data about health, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, sexual orientation and criminal records. We do not seek to collect sensitive information and we do not collect precise location. If a post you share happens to contain sensitive details, we process it only as part of extracting your place, and you consent to that processing by sharing the post.
8. Communications
We send service messages (sign-in links, verification, security and account notices), which you cannot opt out of while you have an account. We do not currently send marketing emails or push notifications. If we start sending optional product emails, every message will include an unsubscribe link.
9. Data retention
We keep your account data and saved places for as long as your account is active. If you delete a saved place it is removed from your account, and if you delete your account we delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we must keep records for legal or fraud-prevention purposes. Aggregated data that can no longer identify you may be retained indefinitely.
10. Security and storage
We use encryption in transit, access controls and reputable infrastructure providers to protect your data. Access to user data inside our team is limited to staff who need it to run and support the service. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your personal data we will notify you and the relevant regulator where the law requires it.
11. Children's privacy
Goovi AI is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13, or under 16 in the EEA/UK. If you are under 18, please do not provide personal information to us without a parent or guardian's involvement. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
12. International transfers
We operate from the United States and our providers may process data in the United States and other countries whose privacy laws may differ from yours. Where we transfer personal data out of the EEA, UK or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
13. Your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)
If you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of your personal data; object to or ask us to restrict certain processing; and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Our legal bases for processing are: performance of our contract with you (providing the app), our legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, product improvement), your consent where applicable, and compliance with legal obligations. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
14. Your rights (California / CCPA-CPRA)
California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; to request deletion or correction of that information; to request a portable copy; to limit the use of sensitive personal information; and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. In the past 12 months we have collected the categories of information described in Section 1 and disclosed them to service providers for the business purposes described in Section 4. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, including for consumers under 16.
15. Other US state privacy rights
Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have rights to access, correct, delete and obtain a portable copy of their personal data, and to opt out of targeted advertising, sale of personal data and certain profiling. We do not conduct targeted advertising, sell personal data, or carry out profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. You may also appeal a decision we make about your request by replying to our response.
16. Exercising your rights and deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time from inside the app, which removes your saved places and personal data as described in Section 9. You can also email us at privacy@gooviai.com to make any privacy request. We will verify your request through the email address associated with your account and respond within the time required by applicable law (generally 30 days). You may use an authorised agent where the law allows. You do not have to give us information, but without certain information you may not be able to use parts of Goovi AI.
17. Other agreements and links
Your use of Goovi AI is also governed by our Terms of Service. Goovi AI contains links to third-party sites and apps (for example a venue's website or a ticket page); we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, and you should read their policies before using them. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, your personal data may be transferred to the successor entity, which will remain bound by this policy or a policy at least as protective.
18. Changes to this policy
Goovi AI is an early-stage product and features may change. We may update this policy from time to time, and if changes are material we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version, and continuing to use Goovi AI after a change means you accept the updated policy.
19. Contact us and complaints
Buhe House LLC — privacy requests, questions and complaints: privacy@gooviai.com. We will acknowledge your complaint, investigate it and tell you the outcome. If you are not satisfied, you may escalate to your local data protection or privacy regulator.
